Assessment of groundwater quality using statistical methods in the Isly basin (Horst Belt, Morocco)

چکیده
The identification of potential sources groundwater pollution in the Isly basin (North-East Morocco) and understanding their spatial variability, response to certain natural anthropogenic forcings, were approached through combined study ionic ratios statistical analyses hydro-chemical data. results Principal Component Analysis (PCA) show that two factors explain nearly 78% variance. Factor 1 is mineral salts (Cl Na), factor 2 related alkaline earth metals (Ca Mg). typological structure F1 x F2 plan analysis shows four regions according nature pollutants. contaminations observed for most water points could be anthropogenic, geological atmospheric sources.

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Groundwater Quality Assessment around Nagalkeni Tannery Industrial Belt
The groundwater quality was assessed nearby places of Nagalkeni, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The selected physico-chemical parameters were pH, EC, TDS, total hardness (TH), anions like Ca, Mg, Na and K, and cations like SO4, NO3, Cl2, HCO3, and CO3, and Cr(VI). In order to suit the groundwater for drinking and irrigation purposes, compared the value of selected parameters with the value of sele...
متن کاملGroundwater quality zoning using WQI and Geo-statistical Methods for various consumptions
Introduction: The ecological, economic, and social potential of an area for large and large uses is influenced by the quantity and quality of the waters. Therefore, appropriate methods of surface water and groundwater have been investigated qualitatively and quantitatively in order to use its results in assessing the power of the land. One of the important factors for sustainable development is...
متن کاملAssessment of water quality in Blinaja River Basin (Kosovo) using the Canadian Water Quality Index (WQI)
Kosovo has limited natural water resources which should be well managed. This is recently realised through quantitative and qualitative monitoring of both surface and groundwater and by characterizing their quality according to their destination. In this paper, the Water Quality Index (WQI) developed by the Canadian Council of Environment Ministers (CCME WQI) was applied to evaluate the groundw...
